Bergsskolan – The Swedish School of Mining and Metallurgy

We have two BSc programmes (180 ECTS, 3 years) and two technician programmes (120 ECTS, 2 years) given in Swedish.

Mining and Civil Engineering

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (3 years or 180 ECTS )
  You will become “Bergsskoleingenjör” and you will get positions in companies dealing with mining, civil engineering, civil engineering and industry minerals.Your future work might be planning, supervisor, purchaser or salesmen in areas, related to your special competence you have received at “Bergsskolan”.
• Technician in Engineering (2 years or 120 ECTS)
  You will become “ Bergsskoletekniker” within mining, civil engineering and industrial minerals. You might work as operator, production technician or supervisor.

Metallurgy and Material Technology

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (3 years or 180 ECTS)
  You will become “Bergsskoleingenjör” with special competence in material science, metallurgy and metal working.
  This program could lead you into different positions within the engineering, steel and metal industry like production quality and control engineers, development and sales engineers and production managers.
• Technician in Engineering (2 years or 120 ECTS)
  You will become “ Bergsskoletekniker” within Metal, Steel or Engineering industry and you might find jobs like operator, supervisor.
